Berry was presented with the Defense Attorney award on June 12, 2026, during the State Bar of Georgia’s Annual Meeting at the Amelia Island Resort & Spa in Fernandina Beach, Florida.
According to the State Bar of Georgia, the Tradition of Excellence Award is given annually “to recognize outstanding lawyers who have demonstrated exceptional long-term achievement and commitment to the profession.” It stands as one of the most prestigious honors a Georgia lawyer or judge can receive, requiring over 20 years of outstanding achievement, deep community service, and an unyielding commitment to legal ethics.
